!!!!!!!!!!!

HELLO. not really been working on the new zine as much as i wanted as i’ve been busy playing music all over the place. can’t complain really, theres a lot im excited about!
the next thing thats happening is HER NOISE: FEMINISM AND THE SONIC at the tate modern. Im playing violin in a performance of Pauline Oliveros’s ‘To Valerie Solanas and Marilyn Monroe in Recognition of their Desperation’ on the Turbine Hall Bridge tomorrow! its sold out but hopefully i can post some video/ audio stuff in the future. Oliveros has described the piece as a ‘feminist community of listening’ and its been so fun to be involved in and to play with all these amazing female experimental musicians… i might write something about Pauline in a zine one day i think she’s great.
been working on NEW DRAWINGS for issue 2!!! this is Penny Penny. he’s a Tsonga/shangaan pop king! looks like this issue might have a bit of a pop/electronic theme…..
“Entangled Bank’ sees Way Through team up with Rachel Aggs (Trash Kit, Covergirl, Sacred Paws) to make a tumbling anthem. Contrasting a chance meeting with a ‘77 punk (replete with safety pins and mohawk) with the graceful theme of evolution, ‘Entangled Bank’ considers how through the passage of time everyone, and everywhere is ‘ambushed by laws acting’ upon them, however intangible. Stepping out of the past, “you can see his clothes are catching on the briars, inheritance in heavy boots” sings Rachel, as their protagonist strides onwards in anachronism.”
